  • Wondering what I've been doing and why there haven't been too many updates to the site? Well two major things. The first is I moved the site to a new server (same host, just a different server) so things should be a little faster now. Second, I found this out by accident, the site looked lousy with Internet Explorer or NeoPlanet. I had to figure out how to get them to display the same as Netscape. Let me tell you, this is a major pain, and requires that I update EVERY page on the site. I've done many of them but they all aren't done. If you see any problems, graphically, on the site please let me know. Dave

If anyone has any that they have created please let me know and/or send them to me and I'll post them to the web site. Also if you have any files that are related to the game, editors, cracks, cheats, etc... and would like me to post them, email me a brief description of what they are and I'll let you know if I want to post them. • Spent a lot of time working on the site in the past 24 hours. It is kind of obvious the changes that I was working but for those who don't see it, I've added all the colors! Believe it or not, I didn't add ANY graphics at all to the site, this is all done with text. I have to say I think it makes the site look more professional; any one have any comments on it? I would love to hear what you all have to say. I'll finish up the rest of the site this weekend so that everything looks similar. Dave

  • I've reduced the font on ALL of the pages from 12 point to 10 point. It seems that there is much more room to make the data work and it is a bit easier on the eyes especially for those of use who have smaller monitors. If you still see the 12 point fonts around please let me know so that I can update the pages.

  • 01/19/99
  • Added the Trinkets Page
  • Added a Main page to be used as the "Non-Frames" version of the site.
  • 01/18/99
  • Added a page that has a list of all NPC's and their stats. I would like to express my thanks to Gary for all of his help on collecting the information about the NPC's, the Character Creation Pages and lots of other information.
  • Something is wrong with my counter CGI script, it seems that the counts keep getting reset and I don't know exactly why. My other pages have had their counts reset once in a while but nothing like what is going on with this page. I guess I have to look into finding a better CGI script or trying to reprogram it so that it doesn't have this bug (I believe I know what is wrong).
  • 01/16/99
  • Added Chapter 4 of the Quests Pages
  • I fixed the problem with the BACK button not working. My web server required that my files ended in ".shtml" instead of the standard ".html". Netscape v4.04 could not edit ".shtml" extension files, so I did all my work with .html extensions and renamed everything to ".shtml" and then added a small ".html" file that automatically redirects you to the correct ".shtml" file. Because of this when you hit back you were going to that redirection file (not the previous screen like you wanted) that would then automatically send you back to the same screen. Well, to make a long story short upgrading to Netscape v4.5 solved the problems of not being able to edit ".shtml" files so I've redone all the links on the page to go directly to the ".shtml" files and now your back button should work. If you come across a link the doesn't work please let me know. I'll be updating "Mandate Mania" also soon, but that site has about 75 different files that need to be updated (uggh).
  • 01/14/99

    • Added the Janus Quest Pages, all you need to know about the game.
    01/13/99

    01/12/99

    • Added the Maps page to have maps of Candlekeep, Friendly Arms Inn, and Beregost.

    12/21/98
    • I've made some cosmetic changes to the site to get it to look nicer and easier to navigate. This is also going to be the first version that the public will get to visit. I've removed all the graphics pages and uninteresting data that I had been working on. Until we get the games in our hands we won't be able to make too many changes.
